Old Spitalfields Market is my all time favourite London market, as the stalls are often run by the designers themselves, so you get to meet and talk to the makers; it is undercover, perfect for the London weather; and it is surrounded by great shops. This market is open everyday,  but the main market days are Thursday till Sunday with each day different themes and different stalls so check out their website to see what is coming up this month. Portobello Road Market is one of London’s most well know markets for tourists and locals a like. Open Monday to Saturday from 9am with the main market day being Saturday when the antiques and bric-a-brac stalls also open and the crowds flock to this West London market. What I love about this market is that it is organised into different sections, and even on the busiest days there is still room to move. Continue reading

Notting Hill Gate farmers’ market is hidden away behind Waterstones in the Kensington Church Street car park  and is held every Saturday from 9am. This small market is perfect for purchasing  some fresh local produce. If you are living or staying in the area this is the perfect place to sample some lovely cheeses,  fresh baked bread, honey, meat, chicken and fish as well as your weekly fruit and vegetables directly from the farmers. This is a local market and a great place to meet those who produce your food and pick up

I was spoilt for choice and found myself munching my way through this market. Try some mouth-watering pork rolls, paella, Indian or falafels and then move on to some dreamy cakes and chocolatey treats. Continue reading
